AIDA 4 (Assistant Instructors Course)
This course teaches you to dive to -40m, and is taught over five days. It is a requirement to enrol, that you hold an AIDA 3 or equivalent certification and have maintained suitable dive fitness in preparation.
Due to the required depths, we teach this course overseas, where we have access to deep, warmer waters. You are guided through the more advanced performance requirements, deeper rescue requirements, as well as techniques for deep equalisation that can take you beyond residual volume.
The course, as the name implies, allows you to begin working as an assistant instructor. Presently, The Underwater Academy has intern-style AIDA 4 programs available for entry into the instruction profession.
